Letter to Family
I completed my masters in psychology this June. I underwent several internships in
educational and psychological centres working with kids 6-12 years old as psychologist
trainee. Also I had a practice as psychology teacher in secondary school, high school and
in university in Russia and in Finland. I've spent last year as exchange student on the
faculty of education in Turku University, Finland. Currently I am employed as educational
psychologist in developmental centre. I work with kids 1-2 years old.
I have several reasons to be an au pair. The first of them is that I really like kids and
I enjoy to communicate with them. This type of profession tightly correlates with my
educational background (I was studying at the department of develomental and pedagogical
psychology). The second reason is my desire to discover new cultures, life styles and
attitudes. I've spent one year living in Finland and really enjoyed this experience. I
found myself flexible enough to adopt to new culture and I'm willing to learn more for
now. And the last reason is to develop my language skills which, I think, would be very
useful in my life.
